The Expedition

A Lodge Built on Legendary Water

Nagagami Lake sits deep in Ontario's boreal wilderness, accessible only by float plane. The lake's remote location means limited fishing pressure and exceptional trophy potential — walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch in numbers most anglers only dream about.

Our housekeeping cabins give your group complete independence. Bring your own food, cook what you catch, and spend evenings the way wilderness evenings are meant to be spent. Every cabin is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, and everything you need.

  • Fly-in access only
  • 16ft aluminum boats & fuel included
  • Fish cleaning station
  • Live bait on site
  • Wood-fired sauna
  • Housekeeping — bring your food
  • Bear & moose hunting
  • Children half-price

The owner on his home water

Meet Your Host

Gideon Rodgers, Owner

Gideon is from Northern Ontario and has been passionate about fishing for most of his life. He first came to Nagagami Lake in 2012, spending three summers working at the lodge — and the place never really let him go.

When the previous owner approached him about taking over, he didn't hesitate. Gideon's goal is simple: to give both returning guests and first-timers the same great fishing experiences that made Nagagami Lake special to him in the first place. It's a family operation, and the people running it genuinely love being on this water.

Guest Stories

Straight from the Dock

Our Stay at Expeditions North was the best week of walleye fishing I have had in my 37 years of Canadain fly-in fishing………………thank you!!!!!!!!!!

— D Stack, Michigan

I want to thank you and your staff for an outstanding week. We were very pleased with the fishing, facilities, and the equipment, everything was first rate. It is obvious the care and planning that has gone in to your efforts.

— J Smythe, New York

On behalf of our group we want to rebook for next year right now, and avoid loosing our spot. I know you ask for suggestions, but we just don't have any…………………You guys do a GREAT job.

— B Menzel, Georgia

This is the first remote fishing trip I have ever taken where my expectations were totally exceeded. The pictures on your website do not do justice to your accommodations. We will be back.

— S Davis, Michigan

Four people in our party caught the biggest northern pike of their lives, the fifth person got a 48 incher. All were put back to grow larger, we did eat the little ones, they were tasty………………… I have paid $3000 for fishing trips that were not nearly as nice as what you offer.

— P Spry, Florida

You get a "10" for providing what you said you would………………You came highly recommended from some close friends and they were 100% accurate. Sign us up for the same time next year……………….That dock is really neat.

— S. Benke, North Carolina

This is the first fishing or hunting trip I have been on where I departed cleaner than when I came, the sauna house is awesome. My thanks to the staff for showing us how to fish we really had some great fishing.

— R Figge, Washington
